Transparency is a critical part of effective regulatory oversight. It also helps build and maintain trust in regulation that promotes and protects consumer interests. Non-disclosure during revenue determinations underminestransparency and trust.
That’s why we support the AER having robust guidelines for evaluating non-disclosure claims for revenue determinations, in our response to this consultation. We also recommend the implementation of more clear definitions and appropriate limitations to prevent further non-disclosure.
