The Homeless Persons’ Legal Service (HPLS) provides free legal help to people in Sydney who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Read about who we can help and what legal help we can give.
To get help, you can apply online or call us if you cannot fill out the online application. We will aim to contact you within 3 days to discuss your legal problem and let you know if we can help you. If we cannot help you, we will try to refer you to another service that can.
Note we cannot help with family law, immigration issues, disputes about property, personal injury claims or drafting wills.
If you are a support worker, you can fill out our online application and we will contact your client directly to discuss their legal issue/s and, if appropriate, make an appointment for them to attend one of our clinics.
You can contact our office on (02) 8898 6545 or email [email protected] with any questions.
Contact us if you would like to make an appointment to see a lawyer at one of these locations. Note that some of the clinics are for women only.
