In a David vs Goliath legal battle, Lee Eastham has taken on the National Disability Insurance Agency in the Federal Court – and won.
Lee is on the NDIS for his vision impairment but has multiple disabilities and health challenges. He can’t drive a car, so he requested funding for a mobility scooter to help him get around in regional Victoria. But his request was refused.
Lee fought his case in the Federal Court and won, with a judgement experts are saying could expand access to NDIS supports for people with multiple disabilities.
The Justice and Equity Centre represented Lee, and senior solicitor Mitchell Skipsey joined 2SER Breakfast to discuss.
