Charmaine is the Project Officer for StreetCare, the Justice and Equity Centre’s consumer advisory committee. The role focuses on supporting a team of people with lived experiences of homelessness to be effective advocates and advisors to government and other key stakeholders on decision-making and policy analysis relating to homelessness and housing.
Charmaine has worked in the community sector for over 15 years, with a focus on housing and mental health. She is a trained adult educator who is passionate about assisting marginalised people to become involved in finding lasting and sustainable solutions to issues faced by themselves and their communities.
Charmaine is a member of the Board of Directors at the Tenants Union NSW.
