Submission

PIAC made a supplementary submission to the Australian Energy Market Commission’s (AEMC) consultion paper on proposed rule changes to introduce a demand response mechanism to the National Energy Market (NEM).

As a joint proposer, PIAC fully support the rule proposed by PIAC, the Total Environment Centre (TEC) and the Australia Institute (TAI), and provide further detail for a number of matters identified in that proposal as well as responses to questions raised by the AEMC.

We do not support the Australian Energy Council’s proposed rule change.
