PIAC made a submission in response to the NSW renewable fuel scheme discussion paper as part of a targeted consultation from the Office of Energy and Climate Change (OECC).
PIAC does not support the scheme in its form nor do we agree with any proposed expansion of the scheme. We recommend a comprehensive review of the objective, guiding principles and structure of the scheme to ensure it is focussed on effective emissions reduction and fair and efficient sharing of costs and risks.
