PIAC provided a submission to the Energy Security Board’s Data Delivery Services Model Consultation Paper (the Paper). The Paper outlined services and capabilities needed to implement reforms to data access, and sought feedback on models for service delivery and governance.

PIAC raised concerns that the Paper was focused on the process of facilitating access to energy consumer data, rather than on improving consumer outcomes. We recommended reframing the process and implementing a data services delivery model centred on consumer outcomes and protections.
