We made a submission to the Department of Social Services consultation on a rule to be drafted and agreed between Federal, State and Territory governments which will define which supports the NDIS will and will not fund.
Our submission highlights the serious problems the disability community have faced as a result of the current transitional rule, and stress the need for significant changes to permit greater flexibility for people with disability and better-define the way the NDIS will intersect with other service delivery systems Australians rely on. We consider government must develop this rule as part of wider planning for the future of the NDIS, including reforms that may require additional legislation or administrative initiatives.
