PIAC lodged a submission to the National Disability Insurance Agency’s consultation on proposed reforms to NDIS access and eligibility, and NDIS planning. This submission addresses the proposed changes, including the introduction of mandatory independent assessments and changes to reasonable and necessary supports funding. PIAC considers that the proposed reforms have been introduced without proper consultation, and carry the risk of perpetuating existing public administration issues.
