PIAC responded to the Australian Energy Market Operator’s (AEMO) Hydrogen blends and renewable gases procedures review.
We do not support the use of Natural Gas Equivalents (NGE) in gas networks. PIAC recommended that if NGE are introduced to gas networks AEMO’s procedures should be expanded to ensure consistent protection of consumers and ensure transparency of responsibility for the quality and safety of gas delivered to them.
