Submission in response to the Draft National Customer Code for Energy Comparators and Energy Moving Services

PIAC made a submission in response to the Draft National Customer Code for Energy Comparators and Energy Moving Services, initiated through the Energy Charter. The draft incorporates key aspects of the previous Energy Comparator Code of Conduct (2015), developed in consultation with consumer stakeholders. We recommended further changes to the draft to clarify and simplify the commitments of the code and support greater understanding by industry and consumers.

PIAC supports the intent of the Draft, as a step towards a mandatory industry code as recommended in Retail Electricity Pricing Inquiry by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
