PIAC lodged a submission in response to IPART’s draft Sydney Water operating licence. The draft proposed to make a number of changes to the way Sydney Water’s operations are governed and monitored.

PIAC is broadly supportive of the Draft Sydney Water Operating licence. We make recommendations in response to key elements of the draft licence relating to licence context and authorisation, long term water conservation and planning, supply services and performance standards, and customers and consumers.

PIAC is particularly supportive of progressive changes that better recognise rental tenants and provide increased scope for Sydney Water to directly provide more effective service and assistance to tenants.
