Response to the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal’s (IPART) draft report on prices for water, sewerage and stormwater drainage services for Gosford City Council and Wyong Shire Council

This submission responds to the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal’s (IPART) draft price determination for water, sewerage and stormwater services provided by Gosford City Council and Wyong Shire Council. In the submission, PIAC welcomes the price proposals, which represent modest increases in real terms for residents in the Gosford area and real price decreases for residents of the Wyong area. PIAC also repeats its recommendations made previously to this inquiry process, specifically that the Councils give eligible customers the option to use the Centrepay service to pay their bills and that the NSW Government immediately increase the pensioner rebate on water and sewerage services.
