Report for Achieving Low Energy Homes: Final Draft

PIAC again wrote to the Secretariat for the Trajectory for Low Energy Homes at the Department of the Environment and Energy, this time to respond to their Final Draft of the Report for Achieving Low Energy Homes. PIAC made comments about:

  • Thermal energy efficiency targets
  • The trajectory towards ‘zero energy and carbon ready homes’
  • Renewable energy
  • Updating energy efficiency provisions
  • The broader objective of energy efficient homes
  • The NCC being agnostic to equivalent technologies, and
  • Progressing outside the NCC, including to existing homes
