PIAC made a submission in response to the NSW Productivity Green Paper: Continuing the productivity conversation.

In the wake of prolonged drought, bushfires and the ongoing impacts of climate change, PIAC highlighted the urgent need for comprehensive reforms aimed at delivering benefits to the NSW Community over the long term. Energy and Water are both essential household enablers of health and wellbeing, as well as crucial drivers of economic productivity and community prosperity. Our submission expanded upon the recommendations of the greenpaper, focussing on the need to use responses our immediate circumstances to accelerate action on climate change.

The right strategic investments and reforms now will help ensure an equitable transition to a more resilient and sustainable economy in the long term, supported by more affordable and secure access to essential energy and water services for the NSW community.
