PIAC and SACOSS provided a joint submission in response to the AER’s consultation paper on their approach to the Net System Load Profile for DMO 6.

The AER has identified two options for how they approach the methodology for the net system load profile for DMO 6.

PIAC and SACOSS recommended that the AER proceed with the option that provides the best outcomes for consumers – that being option 1. We also reiterated our long-held position that the DMO requires a review and fundamental reform, and that this latest issue with the net system load profile is further indication that the DMO is not currently working for consumers.
