Bill Contents – Customers with interval meters consultation paper

Publication date:

Resource type:
Submission

PIAC made a submission in response to the consultation paper on Bill contents for customers with interval (or smart) meters. PIAC supports requirements that standardise the information provided on consumers energy bills so that, regardless of their metering technology, they have clear information regarding how much energy they have used.

PIAC recommends that the proposed rule be made and that all electricity bills, regardless of the other information provided, be required to include a start meter reading and final meter reading, so that consumers have a simple indication of what they are being billed for.
