In December 2024, the Department of Communities and Justice sought feedback on a proposed legislative framework to regulate the use of restrictive practices on people with disability.
Our submission to the Consultation Paper is primarily concerned with the scope of the proposed legislative framework, calling for it to apply to all providers of disability services, as well as the law enforcement, youth justice and out-of-home care settings.
