PIAC responded to the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment’s State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP) amendments for electricity generating works or solar energy systems.
As we support measures to safely remove barriers to home battery installation, we supported the proposed amendments to the SEPP. PIAC considers the requirements for exemption from development consent will ensure home batteries can be installed safely and quickly.
