Research Assistant, Towards Truth
Tallas joined the Justice and Equity Centre in March 2026 as a Research Assistant with the Towards Truth Project.
Tallas is a proud Wiradjuri man who has spent the last 5 years working with First Nations clients at the Aboriginal Legal Service and the Wayside Chapel, where he provided support in areas of care and protection, family law, homelessness, and substance dependence.
Tallas has also worked as a Research assistant for the University of Technology Sydney’s Law Faculty. Supporting the First Nations Legal Professional Standards Working party, he presented key reform recommendations for cultural competency requirements within Legal professional and educational standards.
Tallas is undertaking a combined Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Communication (Social & Political Science) at the University of Technology Sydney.
