Policy Officer, Energy and Water Justice
Kira joined the Justice and Equity Centre’s Energy and Water Justice team as a Policy Officer in September 2025. Kira currently leads the team’s work on efficient electrification of homes and on the retail market.
Kira has a background in energy, water and environmental projects in New Zealand and NSW government. Before coming to the Justice and Equity Centre, she worked as a pricing and policy analyst at the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART).
Kira brings experience working on complex government policy matters with a focus on supporting outcomes for First Nations peoples and environmental sustainability.
Kira has a Master of Science (Statistics) from the University of Canterbury, as well as a Bachelor of Science majoring in environmental science and statistics from the University of Auckland.
