Government Relations Adviser

  • Drive engagement with decision-makers to advance social justice
  • Shape government relations in the lead-up to state and federal elections
  • Full time ongoing position, with part time hours (4 days) considered

Reporting to the Director of Policy and Advocacy, you will advise on and facilitate engagement with parliamentarians, their advisers and government decision-makers. Additionally, you will:

  • Develop and deliver engagement plans
  • Provide expert input on engagement, advocacy and campaigning
  • Lead government relations strategies in the lead-up to state and federal elections. 

You have a proven track record in developing and implementing government relations strategies, including for issue-specific campaigns. You will also bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in government relations
  • In-depth knowledge of the political environment at NSW and Commonwealth levels
  • A demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers.
