StreetCare’s Anna Nagel wins NCOSS lived experience award

StreetCare member Anna Nagel has been recognised for her contributions as a housing and homelessness advocate at the NSW Council of Social Service (NCOSS) awards, held in October 2025.

Anna received the inaugural Amir Bodenstein award for advocates with lived experience of homelessness, an accolade named after a fellow StreetCare member who sadly died last year.

‘I’m so proud to win this award. It’s very poignant to me to be part of the legacy recognising Amir, a close friend I shared many trials and tribulations with.’ Anna said.

‘Thank you to NCOSS and to my fellow StreetCare members for their support and friendship.’

Anna has been part of StreetCare for more than four years and is a member of the Sydney Zero Action Group, a collaborative project with a focus on ending rough sleeping in Inner Sydney.

‘This award is a perfect acknowledgement of Anna’s passionate and tireless work for people experiencing homelessness,’ said StreetCare Project Manager Charmaine Jones.
