Mitchell Skipsey, senior solicitor at the Justice and Equity Centre, said often people who used wheelchairs were frustrated by the public’s simplistic understanding of what disability looked like.
“Instead, they find that there’s often these blanket exclusions that leave them unable to do things like entertainment or leisure activities that are actually a really important part of participating in society and living an ordinary life,” he said.
