2SER: 100th Anniversary of the Kinchela Boys Home

It’s been 100 years since the opening of the Kinchela Boys Home – an institution where Aboriginal children who had been removed from their families were subject to horrific treatment.

Earlier this month, survivors of Kinchela gathered at the site to share their experiences of the institution, showing the power of Aboriginal truth-telling. Among the attendees was Brydie Zorz, a Wiradjuri woman and Research Assistant for the our truth-telling project, Towards Truth.

Brydie joined 2SER breakfast this morning to tell us more.
