PIAC responded to the Energy Security Board’s (ESB) options paper for the Post-2025 Market Design process.

The Post-2025 project is an opportunity to look ahead to shape the future energy landscape so it is equitable, sustainable and that it happens in the fastest possible timeframe. In delivering its final recommendations, the ESB should prioritise the long-term interests of consumers and seek reforms that will ensure an equitable, affordable, resilient and zero-carbon future energy system.

We provide a input on the key workstreams of the Post-2025 Market Design project: Resource Adequacy Mechanisms and Thermal Generation Exit, Essential System Services, Demand Side Participation, and Transmission Access.
