We responded to the NSW government consultation on its proposed Energy Security Target and Safeguard

The Energy Security Target provides an additional layer of regulatory security to meet the electricity demand by NSW consumers during summer peak periods. Importantly, it considers both supply and demand side resources to ensure the most efficient combination of actions is taken.

We respond to a range of consultation questions including how best to design the peak demand scheme so that it supports national schemes and helps develop a market for household demand response.
