Submission to the Parliamentary Joint Standing Committee on the NDIS, Inquiry into Independent Assessments

PIAC lodged a submission to the Parliamentary Joint Standing Committee on the NDIS’ inquiry into Independent Assessments. PIAC considers that mandatory independent assessments are being introduced without proper consultation, and carry the risk of perpetuating existing public administration issues. In particular, our submission raises concerns around the implications of independent assessments on NDIS planning and issues with the review process.
