Submission to ACCC Draft guidance for business on environmental and sustainability claims

PIAC welcomes the new guidance from the ACCC which aims to address ‘greenwashing’ by businesses. PIAC highlights the potential for consumer harm resulting from misleading claims made by energy companies about products, services and overall environmental performance. We recommend improvements to the guidance and continuing enforcement by the ACCC to address these concerns.
