Virgin Australia is under fire over the alleged mistreatment of two passengers with disability, after they refused to allow them to board. In two separate incidents, Virgin claimed their wheelchairs were too big or too heavy. The passengers say it’s all too common, and are calling for airlines to be held to account.
Senior Solicitor Erin Turner Manners spoke to Channel 10 News, saying there are systemic issues in aviation that prevent people with disability from having equal access to air travel.
